Exploring the Piedmont Region of Georgia!!
Today we review the Piedmont region of Georgia through constructing the plants or animals that we may find within this region. The students had a lot of fun with the play dough and making their different animals. The most popular play dough creations were the chipmunks, spotted salamander, and the opossum. The students also recognized that Georgia's famous red clay is found within the Piedmont region, and colored their paper plates red. Next we will explore Georgia coastal plain region in which we live!
